We rely upon a vast infrastructure of exact sciences. The company's engineers are skilled in the classic and modern fields of physics, chemistry, thermodynamics, electronics, and mechanical engineering. Our team combines the use of high-end analysis tools and decades of accumulated experience, with the methodic use of some simple yet effective mind tools. These methods enable us to get excellent solutions for seemingly impossible problems in short time.

Function Takes Form

A methodical mapping of system's functions and constraints and building a solution that is derived only from those functions. A focused characterization of the product enables minimalistic design both tough and economical, canceling many problems that arise while conducting a regular design procedure. This process enables the creation of innovative, simple yet elegant products .

Advanced Systematic Inventive Thinking

A technique for stimulating innovation and innovative thinking. It can be use in any situation where new ideas and approaches are needed. ASIT is being used to innovate products, services, processes, systems as well as new strategic opportunities. Systematic Inventive Thinking is a powerful tool that serves the company's engineers in product development and problem solving. It is an analytical and methodical process that analyses the contents of the product and locates opportunities that exist within it. Dr. Moshe Tshuva instructs projects using this system and our engineers are ASIT qualified. For more information regarding the system you can view the ASIT site and some nice examples in the Start2Think (S2T) site.

Nodal Analysis

A powerful tool used in complex scenarios of design, enabling to predict failure mechanisms and critical elements in a product, prior to getting into specific design. 4iD has perfected this tool to the point that we have case studies showing how resources, measured in a magnitude of engineering years and X100K$ of experimental and computerized modeling are saved in a single instance.

Concurrent Engineering

The Concurrent Engineering philosophy guides 4ID Preliminary Engineering process. It establishes guidelines for increased involvement of all stakeholders in the project life cycle, with the goals of improving project coordination and communication, and ultimately improving the quality of the design-construction process. Strict feedback routines enable efficient resource allocation and avoids loosing focus and diverting from the target .

Integrated Product Development

A philosophy that systematically employs a teaming of functional disciplines to integrate and concurrently apply all necessary processes to produce an effective and efficient product. Product is not only what is delivered to the customer (e.g., hardware, software, services, and documents), but also processes (e.g., design, manufacturing, test, and logistics) which make the product possible.

Check, then check again

Complex problems, require critical review of the proposed solutions. Every design, analysis report, recommendation or calculation, is reviewed by another expert before delivery or action. This approach minimizes errors and benefits our clients and our reputation.
